وكان من قدماء التابعين لقى ابن عباس وابن عمر وجابرا رضي الله عنه

And he was among the early Tabi'in, meeting Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar, and Jabir, may Allah be pleased with them.

وشهد الوقائع بمرو مع عبد الرحمن بن سمرة

And he witnessed the battles in Marw with Abd al-Rahman bin Samurah.
