And Ibn al-Athir said: It is a collection of villages in Nishapur, about twenty parasangs away, among them: the two Imams: Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Al-Husayn bin Ali bin Musa bin Abdullah, the memorizer, the jurist, the Shafi'i, knowledgeable in Hadith and Fiqh, and his teacher in Hadith Al-Hakim Abu Abdullah, and in Fiqh Abu al-Fath Nasir bin Muhammad al-Marwazi, and his works indicate his great merit, including Al-Sunan al-Kabir, and al-Saghir, and Al-Athar, and Dalail al-Nubuwwah, and Shu'ab al-Iman. He was born in [year] and died in [year], and his son Ismail heard from his father.
وإخوته: أبو سعيد، وأبو عبد الله: سمعا أيضا من أبيهما، كما رأيته على نسخة السنن الكبير المقروءة على أبيهم الحافظ.
And his brothers: Abu Sa'id, and Abu Abdullah: they also heard from their father, as I saw on a copy of Al-Sunan al-Kabir read to their father, the memorizer.
