وقال أبو عبد الله البخاري: أي: انسد
And Abu Abdullah Al-Bukhari said: meaning: it was blocked.
والباشق، كهاجر: اسم طائر أعجمي معرب باشه
And al-bashq, like hajar: is the name of a non-Arabic bird, Arabized from 'bash'.
وهو طائر حار المزاج، قوي الزعارة، قوي النفس، كثير الشبق
It is a bird of hot temperament, strong in its wildness, strong in spirit, and very lustful.
