والفوف بالضم: البياض الذي يكون في أظفار الأحداث نقله الجوهري، أو بالضم أكثر وقد روي فيه الفتح، وهو قليل الواحدة بهاء.
And al-fūf with damma: the whiteness that is on the nails of young people, as نقل by Al-Jauhari, or with damma is more common, and the fatha has been narrated for it, which is rare. The singular is bahā'.
