And Ibn 'Abbad said: Al-Ghatrif: the handsome, like Al-Ghatroof (like 'zunboor'), and Fardous; so they are three languages.
أو الغطروف، كفردوس: هو الشاب الظريف قاله أبو عمرو
Or Al-Ghatroof, like Fardous: he is the charming young man, said Abu 'Amr.

And Taghatrafa: to be arrogant, said Al-Ahmar.

And it is narrated: Al-Mutaghatrif, and it has preceded.
وقال ابن الأعرابي: تغطرف: اختال في المشي خاصة
And Ibn Al-A'rabi said: Taghatrafa: to swagger in walking specifically.
يقول: إنما تغطرف من ولايته ولم يك أبوه شريفا
He means: he only became proud from his leadership, and his father was not noble.
وقد حكي ذلك في التغترف أيضا.
And this has been narrated for Al-Taghatruf as well.
وقال ابن عباد: الغطرفة: الخيلاء والعبث.
And Ibn 'Abbad said: Al-Ghatrafah: pride and vanity/frivolity.
وقال الجوهري: الغطرفة: التكبر.
And Al-Jauhari said: Al-Ghatrafah: arrogance.
عنق غطريف: واسع، وكذلك خطريف.
A wide neck: wide, and likewise Khatreef.
وأم الغطريف: امرأة من بلعنبر ابن عمرو بن تميم.
And Umm Al-Ghatrif: a woman from Bal'anbar ibn 'Amr ibn Tamim.
ويجمع أيضا على الغطارف، وأنشد ابن بري لابن الطيفانية
And it is also pluralized as Al-Ghatarif, and Ibn Bri narrated for Ibn Al-Tayfaniyyah
