Al-Junādif, with damma, he wrote it in red as a supplement to Al-Jawhari, but it is not so; rather, he mentioned it in the root J-D-F, and Al-Saghani followed him, mentioning it there in Al-Takmilah, and he differed in Al-'Abab like the author of Al-Lisān, so they mentioned it here as if the 'nun' is original, and this is debatable.
قال الليث: الجنادف: الجافي الجسيم من الناس، والإبل، وقيل: هو الذي إذا مشى حرك كتفيه، وهو مشي القصار.
Al-Layth said: Al-Junādif: the coarse, large ones among people and camels. And it was said: it is one who, when he walks, moves his shoulders, and this is the gait of the short.
قال الجوهري: الجنادف: الغليظ الخلقة القصير الملزز، وقيل: قصير الرقبة
Al-Jawhari said: Al-Junādif: the thick-formed, short, stocky one, and it was said: short-necked.
جنادف لاحق بالرأس منكبه ... كأنه كودن يوشي بكلاب
O stout one, whose shoulder is close to his head... as if he were a Kudan (a type of camel) adorned with patches.
من معشر كحلت باللؤام أعينهم ... وقص الرقاب موال غير صياب
