It has properties. They said: rubbing its juice in a solution of Nilanj on the joints of children is very beneficial for epilepsy that afflicts them.

وشم ورقه نافع للزكام وسدد الدماغ، وأمغاص الأطفال من الرياح الباردة، وقطع سيلان لعابهم، ويذهب النسيان والجنون، عن تجربة محكية.
And smelling its leaves is beneficial for colds and blocked brain, and for children's colics from cold winds, and stops their drooling, and removes forgetfulness and madness, from reported experience.
