This is a 'sawgh' of that, and 'sawghatuhu' for both male and female, refers to one born after him, and in 'al-Mufradat': immediately following him, with no one born between them.

يقال: هي أخته {سوغه} وسوغته، وهو أخوه {سوغه} وسوغته

It is said: She is his sister 'sawghuhu' and 'sawghatuhu', and he is his brother 'sawghuhu' and 'sawghatuhu'.

وقيل: {سوغ الرجل: الذي يولد على إثره وإن لم يك أخاه

And it was said: 'Sawgh al-rajul': one who is born immediately after, even if not his brother.

أسغ لي غصتي أي: أمهلني ولا تعجلني

Grant me respite for my morsel, meaning: give me time and do not rush me.

وهي مولدة، قال شيخنا: والمراد بالتسويغ: الإدن في تناول الاستحقاق من جهة معينة، تيسيرا وتسهيلا على الآخذ، فهو من {ساغ الشراب: سهل، أو من} سوغه: جوزه، فيكون عربيا، وهو الظاهر والأولى.

And it is a neologism. Our shaykh said: And what is meant by 'taswigh' is permission to take what is due from a specific source, making it easy and facilitating for the recipient. So it is from 'sagha al-sharāb': it was easy, or from 'sawghahu': he permitted it, thus it would be Arabic, which is apparent and preferable.

So-and-so 'asagha' the drink and food, he 'yusighuhu' 'isaghah'.

وسوغه ما أصاب: هنأه، وقيل: تركه له خالصا.

And to 'sawghahu' what he obtained: to congratulate him, or it was said: to leave it to him exclusively.

ويقال: هذا لا أجد له مساغا، أي: جوازا، أو مدخلا وهو مجاز.
