ويقال: يثيع، بإبدال الهمزة ياء، قال ابن ماكولا: ومن قال: أثيع فقد وهم، أي: كزبير، والمصنف جمع بين القولين، فإن ابن حبيب يقول: إن جماع القارة يثيع بن الهون، وهكذا نقله الحافظ أيضا وضبطه الصاغاني كيضرب، وابن خطيب الدهشة كيمنع.
And it is said: Yathi', by substituting the hamza with a ya'. Ibn Makula said: Whoever says 'Athi' has erred, meaning like Zubayr. The author combined both opinions, for Ibn Habib says that the ancestor of Al-Qarah is Yathi' bin Al-Hawn, and Al-Hafiz also transmitted it this way, and Al-Sagani vocalized it like 'Yadrib', and Ibn Khatib Al-Dahsha like 'Yamna'.
وقال ابن الأثير في أنسابه: أثيع بن مليح بن الهون بن خزيمة جماع القارة وقال ابن خطيب الدهشة في المنتقى من جامع الأصول ويقال: يثيع، بإبدال الهمزة ياء.
Ibn Al-Athir said in his 'Ansab': Athi' bin Mulayh bin Al-Hawn bin Khuzaymah, the ancestor of Al-Qarah. Ibn Khatib Al-Dahsha said in 'Al-Muntaqa min Jami' Al-Usul': And it is said: Yathi', by substituting the hamza with a ya'.
وفي الأنساب لابن الكلبي: ولد الهون بن خزيمة مليح بن الهون، من ولده حلمة والديش، ابنا محلمش بن غالب بن عائذة بنش مليح، فيقال لبني حلمة: الأبناء، وبنو الديش يقال لهم: القارة، وقال ابن الأثير: القارة هو أثيع، ويقال: يثيع بنث مليح بن الهون، وقيل: القارة: هو الديش بن محلم، فتأمل ذلك.
In the 'Ansab' of Ibn Al-Kalbi: Al-Hawn bin Khuzaymah begot Mulayh bin Al-Hawn, and from his offspring were Hulmah and Al-Dayish, sons of Muhallamish bin Ghalib bin 'A'izah bin Mulayh. So the sons of Hulmah are called 'Al-Abnaa', and the sons of Al-Dayish are called 'Al-Qarah'. Ibn Al-Athir said: Al-Qarah is Athi', and it is said: Yathi' bin Mulayh bin Al-Hawn. And it was said: Al-Qarah is Al-Dayish bin Muhallam. So ponder that.
واختلف في الحارث بن {يثيع، فقيل هكذا، وقيل: بمثناة ثم موحدة مصغرا كما قاله الحافظ.
And there was a disagreement regarding Al-Harith bin Yathi', so it was said thus, and it was said: with a tha' then a ba' in the diminutive form, as Al-Hafiz stated.
