And the man was made unknown ('uhri'a' passive) so he is 'muhra'' (trembling), if he was trembling from anger, or weakness like fever, or fear, or haste, or eagerness.

فجاءوا يهرعون وهم أسارى ... يقودهم على رغم الأنوف

So they came rushing, and they were captives... leading them against their will.

قال الليث: أي يساقون ويعجلون، يقال: هرعوا وأهرعوا

وقال أبو عبيد: أهرع الرجل إهراعا: إذا أتاك وهو يرعد من البرد

And Abu Ubaid said: 'ahra'a' the man 'ihra'an': if he came to you trembling from the cold.

وقد يكون الرجل مهرعا من الحمى والغضب، والعرب تقول: أهرعوا وهرعوا فهم مهرعون، ومهروعون

And a man may be 'muhra'' from fever and anger, and the Arabs say: 'ahra'ū' and 'hara'ū', so they are 'muhra'ūn' and 'mahrū'ūn'.

والمهروع: المجنون الذي يصرع

And 'al-mahrū'': the madman who is epileptic.

وقال أبو عمرو: المهروع: المصروع من الجهد

And Abu Amr said: 'al-mahrū'': one who is struck down by exhaustion.

والمهرع، والمهراع، كمحسن، ومصباح: الأسد

And 'al-mihra'' and 'al-mihrā'', like 'muhsin' and 'misbāh': the lion.

وأهرع: أسرع في رعدة

And 'ahra'a': he hastened with a tremor.

وأهرع القوم رماحهم: أي أشرعوها، ثم مضوا بها، كهرعوها تهريعا

And the people 'ahra'ū' their spears: meaning they presented them, then went with them, like 'harra'ūhā' 'tahri'an'.
