It is the white thorn resembling 'al-hasakah' except it is whiter, longer in thorns, its stem can reach two cubits, its seed is more rounded than safflower, beneficial for chronic phlegmatic fevers, weak stomach, uvula swollen from phlegm, toothache, insect stings, spasms, and spitting blood.
