والنقطة، بالضم: الأمر والقضية، ومنه حديث عائشة تصف أباها رصي الله عنهما: فما اختلفوا في نقطة إلا طار أبي بحظها هكذا جاء في رواية، وضبطه الهروي بالموحدة.

And from it is the hadith of Aisha describing her father, may Allah be pleased with them: 'They did not disagree on any point except that my father took his share of it.' This is how it came in one narration, and Al-Harawi vocalized it with a 'mim'.

يقال عند المبالغة، في الموافقة، وأصله في الكتابين يقابل أحدهما بالآخر ويعارض.

It is said when exaggerating, in agreement, and its origin is in two books where one is compared to the other and contrasted.

فيقال: ما اختلفا في نقطة، يعني من نقط الحروف والكلمات، أي أن بينهما من الاتفاق ما لم يختلفا معه في هذا الشيء اليسير.

So it is said: 'They did not disagree on a point', meaning from the dots of letters and words, i.e., there was between them such agreement that they did not disagree on this small thing.
