Al-Azhari narrated from Al-Layth that they are: a group from India to whom the Zuttiyah clothes are attributed, he said: and it is a Persianized form of 'Jatt' with fatha in Indian.
قال الصاغاني: أما الليث فلم يقل في كتابه هذا، وأما جت، بالهندية فصحيح بفتح الجيم، وكذلك هو مضبوط في نسخة صححها الأزهري، وعليها خطه بفتح الجيم، فتح معربه أيضا
Al-Sagani said: As for Al-Layth, he did not say this in his book, and as for 'Jatt', in Indian it is correct with fatha on the jim, and likewise it is vocalized in a copy corrected by Al-Azhari, and his handwriting is on it with fatha on the jim, so its Persianized form is also with fatha.

فجئنا بحيي وائل وبلفها ... وجاءت تميم زطها والأساور
So we came with the tribes of Wa'il and their allies... and Tamim came with their Zutt and their bracelets.

And Abu Al-Najm said: (A slave girl, one of the daughters of the Zutt... possessing abundant and fine furnishings)
وكان خالد بن عبد الله أعطى أبا النجم جارية من سبي الهند، وله فيها أرجوزة أول ها: علقت خودا من بنات الزط
And Khalid bin Abdullah gave Abu Al-Najm a slave girl from the captives of India, and he has a long poem about her, the beginning of which is: I desired a maiden from the daughters of the Zutt.
والأزط مثل الأذط، وقيل: بل الأزط: المستوي الفك.
And Al-Azat is like Al-Adhat, and it was said: rather Al-Azat: the straight-jawed.
والأذط: المعوج الفك.

والأزط: الكوسج، كالأثط، وجمعهما زطط وثطط، عن ابن الأعرابي.
