قال: لا أدري من أي شيء اشتقه
He said: I do not know from what it is derived.
وكأن المعنى: الكذابة السلاحة
And it is as if the meaning is: the lying, vulgar one.
مركب من جلط، وجثط
Composed of jalaṭa and jathaṭa.
أو من: جلط، وثلط
Or from: jalaṭa and thalaṭa.
فجلط: أخذ منه الكذب
So jalaṭa: lying is taken from it.
وجثط: أخذ منه السلح
And jathaṭa: vulgarity is taken from it.
وكذلك ثلط
And likewise thalaṭa.
ويمكن أن يكون معناه: السليطة اللسان أيضا
