أي فكأنه شبههم بقماش البيت، وهو الرديء من متاعه الذي يرمى
Meaning, as if he likened them to the furnishings of the house, which are the inferior of its belongings that are thrown away.
والذي في اللسان أنه أراد بقوله: بقط أي منتشرون متفرقون.
And what is in Al-Lisan is that he meant by his word: 'baqt' (scattered), meaning spread out and dispersed.
البقط: جمع المتاع وحزمه، عن بن دريد
