Parallel reading

Al-kirāḍ, with kasra: miscarriage, in the dialect of Tayyi'.
And the she-camel miscarried, she miscarries, kurūḍan and karaḍan: she accepted the fluid of the stallion after he mounted her, then expelled it.
Al-Aṣmaʿī said: Al-kirāḍ is the opening of the uterus, and it has no singular from its form, as in Al-Ṣiḥāḥ.
And he recited for Al-Ṭuraymaḥ: (Soon you will be brought near to Lamīs, a young she-camel... who expelled with urine the fluid of al-kirāḍ)
So Al-Ṭuraymaḥ made al-kirāḍ: the stallion, and Al-Ummawī made it: the fluid of the stallion.
And Ibn Al-Aʿrābī said: Al-kirāḍ: the fluid of the stallion in the womb of the she-camel.
And the better opinion is what Al-Aṣmaʿī said, that it is the opening of the uterus, to avoid adding a thing to itself; this describes the she-camel as strong, because if she did not conceive, it would be stronger for her.
And al-yiʿārah: is leading the stallion to the she-camel for mating if she desires it, otherwise not, and that is due to her nobility.
And if al-kirāḍ means the opening of the uterus, there are three opinions: it is said it has no singular from its form, as previously stated by Al-Aṣmaʿī, and it is said to be a plural of kirḍ, with kasra, which is the saying of Ibn Durayd, as in Al-Takmilah, or a plural of kurḍah, with ḍammah, which is the saying of Abū ʿUbaydah, as in Al-Ṣiḥāḥ.
And al-kirāḍ: is the notch at the top of the bow where the string is tied, its singular is kurḍah, with ḍammah.
And al-kirāḍ: is the making of al-kirāḍ, a type of dried cheese, and they made it kurāḍan, which is a cheese from which its liquid separates and is drunk; this is in Kitāb Al-ʿAyn, and this is its text in Al-Lisān and Al-ʿUbāb, and he erred in Al-Ṣilah and Al-Takmilah where he said: Al-Layth said: Al-karīḍ: a type of dried cheese, and its making is al-karḍ, and they made it karīḍan, which is a cheese that separates liquid,
Al-Azhari said: Al-Layth erred in al-karīḍ and corrupted it, and the correct is: al-karīṣ, with an unpointed ṣād, heard from the Arabs, and the ḍād in it is a clear corruption without doubt.
Karḍa sh-shayʾ: to gather something, piling some of it upon another, narrated by Ibn Al-Qaṭṭāʿ.
And the she-camel miscarried, like karḍat, also narrated by Ibn Al-Qaṭṭāʿ.
