Al-Marḍah, with damma on the mim and kasra on the ra: the bite and drink that, if you eat or drink it, it crushes your vein and makes it flow.

If fresh milk is poured on curdled milk, it is al-Marḍah and al-Murtath'ah.

هو اللبن الحامض الشديد الحموضة، إذا شربه الرجل أصبح قد تكسر

It is the sour milk, intensely sour; if a man drinks it, he becomes as if broken.

إذا شرب المرضة قال أوكي ... على ما في سقائك قد روينا

When he drinks al-Marḍah, he says, 'Seal it... what is in your waterskin, we have drunk our fill.'

أرض الرجل إرضاضا، إذا شرب المرضة فثقل عنها

A man's 'arḍaḍa, if he drinks al-Marḍah and becomes heavy from it.
