يقال للناقة إذا ألقت ولدها قبل أن يستبين خلقه: قد أسلبت، وأجهضت، ورجعت رجاعا، فهي مجهض
It is said of a she-camel if she drops her offspring before its form is discernible: 'She has aborted,' 'She has miscarried,' and 'She has returned a miscarriage,' and she is a miscarrier.
فإن كان ذلك من عادتها فهي مجهاض، والولد مجهض وجهيض
If that is her habit, she is a habitual miscarrier, and the offspring is a miscarried fetus and a stillborn.
جاهضه جهاضا: مانعه، وعاجله
He resisted him with resistance; he prevented him and hastened him.
