Al-hardashah (with kasrah) was neglected by Al-Jawhari. Al-Azhari said, in the course of his discussion on 'harshaf': It is the aged female camel after the shurūf, like al-harshafah, and al-harhar. Al-Saghani said: Likewise the old woman, and the large ewe: hardash, thus he transmitted it without the 'taa' from Ibn 'Abbad.
