And al-mu'ūs, like nāṣir and ṣabūr, Al-Kumait said:
أسوت دماء حاول القوم سفكها ... ولا يعدم الآسون في الغي مائسا
We avenged blood that the people tried to shed... And the avengers will not lack someone causing discord in misguidance.
وفاته: رجل ممآس، كمحراب، بهذا المعنى.
And he missed: a man who is mumās, like miḥrāb, with this meaning.
والمآس، كشداد، عن كراع،
And al-mā'ās, like shiddād, from Kurā',
والمأؤوس، كمنصور، قال رؤبة: ما إن أبالي مأسك المأووسا
And al-ma'ūs, like manṣūr, Ru'bah said: I do not care about your discord-causing, the one who causes discord.

Thus it was found in a read copy of Ru'bah's verses, from Ibn Durayd, as in Al-'Ubāb.
