Tha'lab said: its meaning is 'he fed him until he was full'.
وَقِيلَ: القَفْسَاءُ هُنَا: البَطْنُ
And it was said: Al-Qafsa' here means the belly.
وَالقَفْسَاءُ: الأَمَةُ اللَّئِيمَةُ الرَّدِيئَةُ
And Al-Qafsa': the base, wicked slave woman.
وَيُقَالُ: أَمَةٌ قَفْسَاءُ، وَلَا تُنْعَتُ بِهَا الحَرَّةُ
And it is said: a slave woman is qafsa', and a free woman is not described by it.
وَكَمْ قَطَعْنَا مِنْ عَدُوٍّ شَرِسٍ زَطٍّ وَأَكْرَادٍ وَقَفْسٍ قَفْسٍ
And how many fierce enemies we have cut down, Zutt, Kurds, and Qafs, Qafs.
وَتَقَفَّسَ: وَثَبَ
And taqaffasa: he leaped.
وَهُمَا يَتَقَافَسَانِ بِشُعُورِهِمَا، أَيْ يَتَوَاثَبَانِ
And they are wrestling each other with their hair, meaning they are leaping at each other.
