And it is as if the author, when he saw Al-Azhari say in his book: Al-Qur'ūs and Al-Qur'ūsh, thought that he repeated it due to a difference in the vocalization of the Qāf.
ولذا قال: وزنبور وليس كما ظن، بل إنما كرره لبيان أنه روي بالسين والشين
And for this reason he said: and Zunbūr. And it is not as he thought, but rather he repeated it to indicate that it was narrated with the Sīn and the Shīn.
وأما القاف فمكسورة فيهما، كما صرح به الصاغاني أيضا في التكملة فقال: والقرعوس، مثال فرعون، بالسين والشين، فأزال الإشكال
As for the Qāf, it is kasrah in both, as Al-Ṣāghānī also stated in Al-Takmilah, saying: And Al-Qur'ūs, like Fir'awn, with the Sīn and the Shīn, which removed the ambiguity.
وأما بضم القاف فلم يضبطه أحد من الأئمة
As for with the dammah on the Qāf, no one among the imams has recorded its vocalization.
