And Tha'lab said: The Hurr: is the son of two Arab women, and the Filanqas: is the son of two Arab men from two slave women, and his grandmothers from his parents' side are slave women, and his mother is Arab.
وَأَنْكَرَ أَبُو الهَيْثَمِ مَا قَالَهُ شَمِرٌ.
And Abu al-Haytham denied what Shamir said.
وَالقَوْلُ مَا قَالَهُ أَوْ زَيْدٌ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ السِّكِّيتِ الَّذِي تَقَدَّمَ.
And the correct view is what Abu Zayd said, and it is the saying of Al-Sikkit which was previously mentioned.
وَقَدْ خَالَفَهُم أَبُو الغَوْثِ.
And Abu al-Ghawth differed from them.
وَالفِلَنْقَسُ: البَخِيلُ الرَّدِيءُ، كَالفَلْقَسِ، كَجَعْفَرٍ وَهُوَ اللَّئِيمُ أَيْضًا.
And the Filanqas: is the stingy, bad one, like the Falqas, like Ja'far, and he is also the ignoble one.
