And Fadox: a clan from Taghlib, cited by Sibawayh for illustration, and explained by Al-Sirafi. He is an ancestor of Al-Akhtal. In Al-Sihah: the kin of the poet Al-Akhtal, whose name is Ghiyath ibn Gauth Al-Taghlibi. They are from Banu Jashm ibn Bakr ibn Habib ibn 'Amr ibn Ghanam ibn Taghlib, as they mentioned. It was transmitted in Al-'Abab from Ibn Al-Kalbi in Juharat Nasab Taghlib, and the genealogist Al-Nashiri mentioned that Al-Fadox is the son of Malik ibn Jashm.

وساق نسب الأخطل، وفقال: غياث بن غوث بن الصلت ابن طارقة بن عمرو بن سحبل ابن الفدوكس، وفي العباب: طارقة بن سيحان بن عمرو بن فدوكس، وفي المؤتلف والمختلف للآمدي: طارقة بن تيحان، مثل هيبان.
