So how do you know Matta when you are illiterate, and among an illiterate nation?
فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: هو أخي، كان نبيا وأنا نبي
So he (the Prophet) said, peace be upon him: He is my brother; he was a prophet and I am a prophet.
