فإذا دنا العدو كانت المداعسة بالرماح حتى تقصد، أي المطاعنة، ومنه رجل مداعس، أي مطاعن.
And when the enemy approached, there was thrusting with spears until they aimed, meaning fighting, and from it is a man who is a مداعس, meaning a fighter.
رجل دعوس عطوس قدوس دقوس، أي مقدام في الغمرات والحروب.
