Al-Jaʿmūs, like ʿaṣfūr, was neglected by Al-Jawharī here, but he affirmed it in (the entry for) Jaʿas, as its mīm is extra and its weight is faʿmūl, and it is: feces.
Abū Zayd said: Al-Jaʿmūs is what a person expels from their belly.
Its plural is jaʿāmīs.
And he recited: (You have no camels you see, nor any livestock... except your feces in the middle of the bathing place).
And jaʿmasa the man: he expelled it all at once.
And it was said: if he expelled it dry, and it is majʿams and juʿāmis, with the dammah.
Al-Ṣāghānī said: The weight of jaʿmasa is faʿala due to the extra mīm, and likewise juʿāmis.

And it has preceded that in the language of Hudhail, the word for date palms is also al-jaʿsūs, and its plural is al-jaʿāsīs.
And al-jaʿmūsah, with the dammah: a water source of Banu Dhubaynah, as reported by Al-Ṣāghānī.
