The ancient Arabs used to call Thursday 'Mu'nis' because they inclined towards pleasures on that day; indeed, it is narrated from Ali, may God be pleased with him: that God, the Blessed and Exalted, created Paradise on Thursday and named it Mu'nis.

By my eyes, they did not perceive on a dusty day, nor did they reach the Iraqi plain and become scattered.
أنست بفلان: فرحت به.
I felt familiar with so-and-so: I rejoiced in him.
واستأنس: استعلم.
And 'ista'nas': to ascertain.
والاستئناس: التنحنح، وبه فسر بعضهم الآية.
And 'al-isti'nas': clearing the throat, and some interpreted the verse with this meaning.

'After observation comes certainty.' Meaning: after the appearance of certainty.

The origin of 'insan' is 'insiyan', because all the Arabs said in its diminutive form: 'inisiyan'.
انطلقوا بنا إلى ! أنيسيان، وهو شاذ على غير قياس.
Let's go to 'inisiyan', which is irregular and not according to analogy.
إنما سمي الإنسان إنسانا لأنه عهد إليه فنسي
Man is named 'insan' because he was commanded and forgot.
وهو إفعلان من النسيان
And it is 'if'alan' from forgetting.
والصواب أن الإنسيان فعليان من الإنس، والألف فيه فاء الفعل
And the correct view is that 'al-insiyan' is 'fa'layan' from 'al-ins', and the alif is the first letter of the verb.
يقال للإنسان أيضا أنسان،
'Insan' is also called 'insan'.
أنس بالحق وأنس بالخلق
Familiar with the truth and familiar with creation.
إن اشتقاق الإنسان من الإيناس، وهو الإبصار والعلم والإحساس
The derivation of 'insan' is from 'al-inas', which is seeing, knowing, and sensing.
وقيل: اشتقاقه من النوس وهو التحرك، سمي لتحركه في الأمور العظام
And it is said: its derivation is from 'al-naus' which is movement, named for its movement in great matters.
وقيل: أصل الناس الناسي
And it is said: the origin of people is the forgetful one.
ثم أفيضوا من حيث أفاض الناس بالرفع والجر: الجر إشارة إلى أصله: إشارة إلى عهد آدم حيث قال: ولقد عهدنا إلى آدم من قبل فنسي
Then flow forth from where the people flowed forth (with nominative and genitive): the genitive refers to its origin: referring to the covenant of Adam when He said: And indeed We had already covenanted with Adam before, and he forgot.
وسميت إنسانا لأنك ناسي
And you are named 'insan' because you are forgetful.
فاغفر فأول ناس أول الناس
So forgive, for the first of people are the first of people.
وقيل: عجبا للإنسان كيف يفلح وهو بين النسيان والنسوان.
And it is said: It is wondrous how man succeeds while he is between forgetting and being forgotten.
