So he gave him three camel saddles and placed on them bags containing bundles of flour, then he said to him: 'Go, and when you arrive, slaughter a she-camel, feed them with its fat and its flour, and do not give them too much food when you first feed them.'
ونوز. فلبث حينا، ثم إذا هو بالشيخ المزني فسأله، فقال: فعلت ما أمرتني، وأتى الله بالحيا، فبعت ناقتين، واشتريت للعيال صبة من الغنم، فهي تروح عليهم.
And he reduced (the portions). He stayed for a while, then he saw the old man from Muzaynah and asked him. He said: 'I did as you commanded me, and Allah brought the rain. I sold two she-camels and bought a flock of sheep for the family, and they are now being fed.'
