And he said: a place is sha'az and shi'z, meaning rough, like sha's and shi's.
شَأَزَ الرجلُ شَأَزًا فهو شَئِزٌ: قَلِقَ من مَرَضٍ أو هَمٍّ.
The man was restless, sha'azan, so he is sha'iz: restless from illness or worry.
وذُعِرَ، كشُعِذَ، فهو مَشْؤُوزٌ، كَمَنْصُورٍ، ومَشُوزٌ كَمَقُولٍ.

And in the hadith of Mu'awiyah, that he entered upon his uncle Abu Hashim Shaybah ibn 'Utbah, and he had been stabbed, so he cried and said: What makes you cry, uncle? Is it pain that agitates you, or eagerness for the world?
قال أبو عبيد: قوله: يُشْئِزُكَ أي يُقْلِقُكَ.
Abu Ubayd said: His statement: yush'izuka means, it agitates you.
قال ذو الرمة يصف ثوراً وحشياً: (فباتَ يَشْأَزُهُ ثَأْدٌ ويَسْهَرُهُ ... تَذْؤُبُ الرِّيحُ والوَسْواسُ والهَضَبُ)
Dhu al-Rummah said, describing a wild bull: (He spent the night, restlessness agitating him and keeping him awake... the wind, whispers, and the heights disturbing him.)
واشْتَأَزَّ: نَفَرَ وهذه عن الصاغاني.
And ishta'azza: meaning, shied away. This is from Al-Saghani.
وشَأَزَهَا شَأْزًا كَمَنَعَ: جامَعَهَا كَشَحَزَهَا.
And he sha'azaha sha'zan, like mana'a: meaning, he had intercourse with her, like shaha'azaha.
وخَيْلٌ شَأْزَةٌ: سِمَانٌ.
