It is said: Awlad Darzah are the weavers, and they are from the lowest of people, as the commentators clarified in His saying, the Almighty: 'And the base followed you.'

Al-Mubarrad said this.
وإليه نسبت الطائفة الدرزية الخارجة عن جادة الشريعة، الكائنة بجبال الشام، وهم الإسماعيلية، كذا في شفاء الغليل للخفاجي
And to him was attributed the Druze sect, which deviates from the path of the Sharia, located in the mountains of Sham, and they are the Isma'ilis, as stated in Shifa' al-Ghalil by al-Khafaji.
