And it is said: 'istayharat al-humur' means the female donkeys became frightened, as narrated by Tha'lab.

عنه أيضا: استيهر الرجل، إذا ذهب عقله، فهو مستيهر

Also from him: 'istayhara al-rajul' means the man lost his mind, so he is 'mustayhir' (deluded/insane).

يسعى ويجمع دائبا مستيهرا ... جدا وليس بآكل ما يجمع

He strives and gathers diligently, deluded... greatly, and he does not eat what he gathers.
