إنما أنكر قول من قال إن المصطَار الحامض، لأن الحامض غير مختار ولا ممدوح، وقد اختير المصطَار، كما ترى، من قول عدي بن الرقاع وغيره.
He only denied the saying of whoever said that misṭār is sour, because sour is not chosen nor praised, and misṭār is chosen, as you see, from the saying of Adi bin Ruqayyah and others.
