They inhale it, abundant urine like صبر... in its nostrils, batches after batches.
وقرة العين: من الأدوية، ويقال لها جرجير الماء
And qurat al-'ayn: one of the medicines, and it is called watercress.
وقر الرجل، بالضم: أصابه القر: البرد.
And the man, with damma: he was struck by cold: the cold.
وهو مقرور، على غير قياس، كأنه بني على قر
And he is affected by cold, irregularly, as if built upon cold.
ويوم مقرور، وقر، بالفتح، وكذا قار، أي بارد.

And the pot was emptied, it empties its contents, and cold water was poured into it so it would not burn.
ويقال: أقبل الصبيان على القدر يتقررونها، إذا أكلوا القرة.
And it is said: the boys approached the pot, eating its residue, when they ate the residue.
وتقررها واقترها: أخذها وائتدم بها.
And taqarraraha and iqtaraha: to take it and eat it with a relish.
تقررت الإبل: صبت بولها على أرجلها.
The camels urinated: they poured their urine on their legs.
وتقررت: أكلت اليبيس فتخثرت أبوالها.
And they urinated: they ate dry fodder and their urine became thick.
والاقترار: أن تأكل الناقة اليبيس والحبة فينعقد عليها الشحم فتبول في رجليها من خثورة بولها.
And al-iqtirar: that the she-camel eats dry fodder and grain, and fat solidifies on it, so she urinates on her legs from the thickness of her urine.
حتى إذا قرت ولما تقرر ... وجهرت آجنة لم تجهر
Until she drank deeply and had not yet drunk her fill... and she cleared stagnant water that had not been cleared.
وقرت الحية قريرا: صوتت، وكذا الطائر
And the snake made a sound: it made a sound, and so did the bird.
قرت عينه تقر، بالكسر والفتح، نقلهما ابن القطاع، والأخير أعلى عن ثعلب، قرة، بالفتح وتضم وهذه عن ثعلب، قال: هي مصدر
His eye was cooled, it cools, with kasra and fatha, transmitted by Ibn al-Qatta', and the latter is higher from Tha'lab, qurratun, with fatha and damma, and this is from Tha'lab, he said: it is a masdar.
وقرورا كقعود: ضد سخنت، ولذلك اختار بعضهم أن يكون قرت فعلت ليجئ بها على بناء ضدها.
And qururan like qu'ud: the opposite of heated, and therefore some chose that qarrat be fa'alat so it would come in the form of its opposite.
بها قرت لبون الناس عينا ... وحل بها عزاليه الغمام
By it, the milk-giving animals of people were cooled in their eyes... and the clouds descended upon it.
وقرت الدجاجة تقر، بالكسر، قرا، بالفتح، وقريرا، كأمير: قطعت صوتها.
And the hen clucked, it clucks, qara, with fatha, and qariran, like amir: she stopped her sound.
وقرقرت: رددت صوتها حكاه ابن سيده عن الهروي في الغريبين.
And qarqarat: she repeated her sound, narrated by Ibn Saydih from al-Harawi in al-Gharibayn.
يقره قرا: أودعه قاله ابن القطاع.
Yuqirruhu qarran: he deposited it, said Ibn al-Qatta'.
وهو من قر الماء في الإناء، إذا صبه فيه قاله الزمخشري.
And it is from qarr al-ma' fi al-ina', if he pours it into it, said al-Zamakhshari.
وقررت الكلام في أذنه أقره قرا: وهو أن تضع فاك على أذنه فتجهر بكلامك كما يفعل بالأصم، والأمر قر.
And I repeated the words in his ear, I make him hear qarran: which is to place your mouth on his ear and speak loudly as one does to the deaf, and the command is qarr.
وقر عليه الماء يقره قرا: صبه عليه وفيه.
And water was poured on him, it pours on him qarran: he poured it on him and into him.
وقرت المرأة على رأسها دلوا من ماء: صبتها.
And the woman poured a bucket of water on her head: she poured it.
قر بالمكان يقر بالكسر وبالفتح، أي من حد ضرب وعلم، ذكرهما ابن القطاع.
He settled in the place, he settles, with kasra and fatha, meaning from the root daraba and 'alima, mentioned by Ibn al-Qatta'.
فهو قار، كاستقر، وتقار، وهو مستقر.
So he is qarr, like istaqarra, and taqar, and he is mustaqarr.
وفلان ما يتقار في مكانه، أي ما يستقر.
And so-and-so does not taqarr in his place, meaning he does not settle.
وأصل تقار تقارر، أدغمت الراء.
And the origin of taqar is taqarar, the raa was assimilated.
فلم أتقار أن قمت أي لم ألبث.
So I did not taqarr that I stood up, meaning I did not linger.
وأقره فيه وعليه إقرارا فاستقر وقرره فتقرر.
And He made it settle in and upon it, iqrar, so it settled, and He made it settle, so it settled.
والقرور، كصبور: الماء البارد يغتسل به، كالبرود قال ابن السكيت
And al-qurur, like sabur: cold water used for washing, like al-burud, said Ibn al-Sikkit.
والمرأة قرور: لا تمنع يد لامس كأنها تقر وتسكن لما يصاب بها
And the woman is qurur: she does not prevent the hand of a toucher, as if she settles and becomes still when acted upon.
والقرار، والقرارة: ما قر فيه الماء.
And al-qarar, and al-qararah: where water settles.
والمستقر منها.
And the settled part of it.
القرارة: كل مطمئن اندفع إليه الماء فاستقر فيه.
Al-qararah: every low place to which water flows and settles.

The bellies of the earth are their bottoms, because water settles in them.

And it is said: al-qarar: the place where water settles in a meadow.

And al-qararah: the round basin.

Having a settled place and a spring.
هو المكان المطمئن الذي يستقر فيه الماء.
It is the low place where water settles.
والقرار والقرارة: الغنم عامة عن ابن الأعرابي
And al-qarar and al-qararah: sheep in general, from Ibn al-A'rabi.
أسرعت في قرار ... كأنما ضرارى
I hurried in the sheep... as if they were being driven.
القرار، والقرارة: النقد، وهو ضرب من الغنم قصار الأرجل قباح الوجوه وأجود الصوف صوف النقد.
Al-qarar, and al-qararah: al-naqd, which is a breed of sheep with short legs and ugly faces, and the best wool is the wool of al-naqd.
والمال صوف قرار يلعبون به ... على نقادته واف ومجلوم
And the wealth is wool of qarr that they play with... on its quality, abundant and marked.
أقر الله عينه، وكذا بعينه، ويقر بعيني أن أراك.
May Allah cool his eye, and also his eye, and my eye will be cooled to see you.
أبرد الله دمعته، لأن دمعة السرور باردة.
May Allah cool his tear, because the tear of joy is cold.
أقر الله عينه: أنام عينه، والمعنى صادف سرورا يذهب سهره فينام.
May Allah cool his eye: may Allah make his eye sleep, meaning he found joy that dispels his sleeplessness so he sleeps.
أقر به مواليك العيونا.
May your masters be pleased by it, their eyes cooled.
وعين قريرة، وقارة، ورجل قرير العين.
And a cooled eye, and a qarah eye, and a man with a cooled eye.
وقررت به عينا فأنا أقر.
And I was cooled by him in my eye, so I am cooling.
وقرتها: ما قرت به، وفي التنزيل العزيز: فلا تعلم نفس ما أخفى لهم من قرة أعين.
And its qirratah: what it is cooled by, and in the Noble Quran: No soul knows what is hidden for them of coolness of eyes.
من قرات أعين.

أفضل الأيام عند الله يوم النحر ثم يوم القر وهو الذي يلي يوم النحر لأنهم يقرون فيه بمنى، عن كراع.
The best of days with Allah is the Day of Sacrifice, then the Day of Settling, which is the day after the Day of Sacrifice because they settle in Mina on it, from Kura'.
لأنهم يقرون في منازلهم.
Because they settle in their dwellings.
فإذا كان الغد من يوم النحر قروا بمنى، فسمي يوم القر.
And when it was the day after the Day of Sacrifice, they settled in Mina, so it was named the Day of Settling.
ومقر الرحم: آخرها.
And the end of the womb: its end.
فمستقر ومستودع.
So a settled place and a deposited place.
أي فلكم في الأرحام مستقر، ولكم في الأصلاب مستودع.
Meaning you have a settled place in the wombs, and a deposited place in the loins.
فمستقر في الرحم.
So a settled place in the womb.
مستقر في الدنيا موجود.
Settled in this world, existing.
المستقر: ما ولد من الخلق وظهر على الأرض، والمستودع: ما في الأرحام.
Al-mustaqarr: what is born of creation and appears on earth, and al-mustawda': what is in the wombs.
مستقرها في الأصلاب، ومستودعها في الأرحام.
Its settled place is in the loins, and its deposited place is in the wombs.
مستقر في الأحياء، ومستودع في الثرى.
Settled among the living, and deposited in the earth.
