And indeed, I think, O Pharaoh, you are doomed.
أَيْ مَغْلُوبًا مَمْنُوعًا عَنِ الْخَيْرِ
Meaning, defeated, prevented from good.
مَا ثَبَرَكَ عَنْ هَاذَا؟ أَيْ مَا مَنَعَكَ مِنْهُ؟ مَا صَرَفَكَ عَنْهُ؟
What prevented you from this? Meaning, what stopped you from it? What turned you away from it?
الْمَثْبُورُ: الْمَلْعُونُ الْمَطْرُودُ الْمُعَذَّبُ
The cursed one: the one who is cursed, expelled, and tormented.
دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا
They will call out therein [saying], 'Woe to us!'
أَيْ هَلَاكًا
Meaning, destruction.
لَا تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا
Do not call out today for destruction.
وَمَثَّلَ لِلْعَرَبِ: إِلَى أُمِّهِ يَأْوِي مِنْ ثَبَرٍ؛ أَيْ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ
And it is exemplified for the Arabs: 'He seeks refuge with his mother from destruction'; meaning, from your family.
وَثَابَرَ عَلَى الْأَمْرِ: وَاظَبَ وَدَاوَمَ
And he persevered in the matter: he was constant and continued.
وَمَنْ ثَابَرَ عَلَى ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ السُّنَّةِ
And whoever perseveres in [performing] twelve rak'ahs of the Sunnah.

And the thabrah: a soil similar to fuller's earth found within the earth, which stops the palm tree's root when it reaches it.
وَالثَّبْرَةُ: الْحُفْرَةُ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَجْتَمِعُ فِيهَا الْمَاءُ
And the thabrah: a pit in the ground where water collects.
وَأَشْرِقْ ثَبِيرُ كَيْمَا نُغِيرُ
Shine, Thabir, so that we may raid.
وَأَنَّهُ حُمِلَ فِي نَطْعٍ، وَأُخِذَ مَا تَحْتَ مَثْبَرِهَا، فَغُسِلَ عِنْدَ حَوْضِ زَمْزَمَ
And he was carried in a mat, and what was beneath her place of birth was taken and washed at the Zamzam well.
وَجَدُوا النَّاقَةَ الْمُنْتِجَةَ تَفْحَصُ فِي مَثْبَرِهَا
They found the producing she-camel digging in her place of birth.
وَإِذَا هِيَ قَدْ ثَبِرَتْ، فَقُلْتُ: لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ بَأْسٌ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And behold, it had burst open, so I said: 'There is no harm upon you, O Commander of the Faithful.'
هُوَ عَلَى صَيْرِ أَمْرٍ، وَثَبَارِ أَمْرٍ، أَيْ عَلَى إِشْرَافٍ مِنْ قَضَائِهِ
He is on the verge of a matter, and on the brink of a matter, meaning on the verge of its completion.
وَالثَّبْرَةُ: النُّقْرَةُ تَكُونُ فِي الْجَبَلِ تُمْسِكُ الْمَاءَ، يَصْفُو فِيهَا كَالصِّهْرِيجِ
And the thabrah: the depression in the mountain that holds water, in which it becomes clear like a cistern.
