Meaning, do not be deterred by the elongated dawn and thus refrain from the pre-dawn meal, for it is the false dawn.
فإذا كانت الأولى منهما لله فلا تهيدنه الآخرة
And if the first of them is for God, do not let the latter disturb it.

And he made the 'dal' genitive as a narration from a Bedouin, and he recited for Ka'b bin Zuhayr: If she had alerted a virgin, I would have said to her, 'O you, what is wrong with you?' or if she had alerted half.
