Al-Mihad is from Al-Wahid as Al-Mi'shar is from Al-'Asharah.
لأنه إن أراد الاشتقاق وبيان المأخذ، كما هو المتبادر إلى الذهن فما أقل جدواه
For if he intended derivation and explanation of the origin, as is apparent to the mind, then how little is its benefit.
وإن أراد أن المعشار عشرة، كما أن الميحاد فرد فرد، فغلط

Men wished for my death, and if I die, that is a path you are not unique in.
ويجمع الأوحد على أحدان، مثل أسود وسودان
And the plural of 'awhad' is 'ahdan', like 'aswad' and 'sudān'.
فلان لا واحد له، أي لا نظير له
So-and-so has no one like him, meaning he has no equal.
لا يقوم لهاذا الأمر إلاص ابن إحداها، يقال: هو ابن إحداها، إذا كان كريم الآباء والأمهات من الرجال والإبل
None can handle this matter except the son of one of them; it is said: he is the son of one of them, if he is noble from fathers and mothers, among men and camels.

Naseej wahdih, praise.
وعيير وحده وجحيش وحده، كلاهما ذم
Wa 'uyayr wahdih and juhaysh wahdih, both are terms of dispraise.
وهو نسيج وحده
And he is a unique weaver of his kind.
وهما نسيجا وحدهما، وهم نسيجو وحدهم، وهي نسيجة وحدها، وهن نسائج وحدهن
And they are two unique weavers, and they are unique weavers, and she is a unique weaver, and they are unique weavers.
وهو الرجل المصيب الرأي، قال: وكذالك قريع وحده
And he is the man of sound opinion. He said: And likewise Qaree' wahdih.

Many a unique weaver have I seen, and many a unique one of his mother have I captured.
كان والله أحوذيا نسيج وحده
By God, he was astute, a unique weaver of his kind.
تعني أنه لي له شبه في رأيه وجميع أموره
Meaning he has no equal in his opinion and all his affairs.
العرب تنصب وحده في الكلام كله لا ترفعه ولا تخفضه إلا في ثلاثة أحرف: نسيج وحده، وعيير وحده، وجحيش وحده
The Arabs make 'wahdah' accusative in all speech, not nominative or genitive, except in three phrases: naseej wahdih, 'uyayr wahdih, and juhaysh wahdih.
أمْصا نسيج وحده فمدح، وأما جحيش وحده وعيير وحده فموضوعان موضع الذم
As for 'naseej wahdih', it is praise, but 'juhaysh wahdih' and 'uyayr wahdih' are used in the sense of dispraise.
وهما اللذان لا يشاوران أحدا ولا يخالطان، وفيهما مع ذالك مهانة وضعف
And they are those who do not consult anyone nor associate with them, and in them, along with that, is humiliation and weakness.
معنى قوله نسيج وحده أنه لا ثاني له
The meaning of his saying 'naseej wahdih' is that he has no second.
وهو الرجل المصيب الرأي، قال: وكذالك قريع وحده
And he is the man of sound opinion. He said: And likewise Qaree' wahdih.
هاذا رجل لا واحد له، كما تقول: هو نسيج وحده
This is a man who has no equal, just as you say: he is a unique weaver of his kind.
من يدلني على نسيج وحده
Who can guide me to a unique weaver?

توحد الله تعالى بعصمته، أي عصمه ولم يكله إلى غيره
God Almighty preserved him uniquely with His protection, meaning He protected him and did not entrust him to others.
وأما قول الناس توحد الله بالأمر وتفرد، فإنه وإن كان صحيحا فإني لا أحب أن ألفظ به في صفة الله تعالى في المعنى إلا بما وصف به نفسه في التنزيل أو في السنة
As for people saying 'Tawḥḥada Allah bil-amr wa tafarrada' (God made Himself unique in the matter and singular), although it is correct, I do not like to utter it in describing God Almighty in meaning except with what He described Himself with in the Revelation or the Sunnah.
الأحدان، بالضم: السهام الأفراد التي لا نظائر لها
Al-Aḥdān, with dammah: the individual arrows that have no equals.
عددت الدراهم أفرادا ووحادا
I counted the dirhams individually and singly.
بقيت وحيدا فريدا حريدا، بمعنى واحد
I remained utterly alone, meaning singular.
وأنت تريد فردا، وكلام العرب يجىء على ما بني عليه وأخذ عنهم
And you mean singular, and the speech of the Arabs comes according to what it is built upon and taken from them.
الوحدة في معنى التوحد
Al-Wahdah in the meaning of Al-Tawḥḥud.
توحد برأيه: تفرد به
Tawḥḥada bi-ra'yihi: to be unique in his opinion.
أوحده الناس: تركوه وحده
Awḥadahu al-nās: people left him alone.
ما أنت من الأحد، أي من الناس
You are not from Al-Aḥad, meaning from the people.
ولو قلت: ما هو من الإنسان، تريد ما هو من الناس، أصبت
And if you said: What is he from mankind, meaning what is he from the people, you would be correct.
ولاكنها الأوحاد أسفل سافل
But they are Al-Awḥād, the lowest of the low.
جعل كل واحد منهم أحدا
He made each one of them an 'aḥad'.
وهو شرف الدينه محمد ابن شريف بن يوسف
And he is Sharaf al-Din Muhammad ibn Sharif ibn Yusuf.

الواحد في الحقيقة هو الشيء الذي لا جزء له البته
The One in reality is that which has no parts whatsoever.
فالواحد لفظ مشترك يستعمل على ستة أوجه
So 'Al-Wahid' is a common word used in six ways.
ما كان واحدا لعدم نظيره
What is singular due to the absence of its like.
لفلان واحد دهره
So-and-so is the unique one of his age.
ما كان واحدا لامتناع التجزي فيه
What is singular due to the impossibility of division within it.
للمبحدإ، إما لمبدإ العدد، كقولك واحد اثنان
For the beginning, either the beginning of the number, as you say one, two.
وإذا وصف الله عز وجل بالواحد فمعناه هو الذي لا يصح عليه التجزي، ولا التكثر
And when God Almighty is described as Al-Wahid, it means He is the one for whom division and multiplicity are impossible.
وإذا ذكر الله وحده اشمأزت
And when God is mentioned alone, they turn away in aversion.
التوحيد توحيدان. توحيد الربوبية، وتوحيد الإلاهية
Tawhid is of two kinds: Tawhid of Lordship, and Tawhid of Divinity.
