And Kilda ibn Hunbal al-Ghassani, and it was said al-Aslami, the uterine brother of Safwan ibn Umayyah, and he was dark-skinned. He served Safwan and converted to Islam later. He has a hadith in Jami' al-Tirmidhi and elsewhere.
والحارث بن كلدة بن عمرو بن علاج الثقفي مولى أبي بكرة الثقفي، صحابيان، واختلف في الثاني، وهو المشهور بالطب، لأنه سافر إلى فارس، وتعلم هناك الطب، واشتهر فيه، ونال به مالا، وأدرك الإسلام.
And Al-Harith ibn Kilda ibn Amr ibn Ilaj al-Thaqafi, the freed slave of Abu Bakra al-Thaqafi, are two Companions, and there is disagreement about the second. He is famous for medicine because he traveled to Persia, learned medicine there, became famous for it, gained wealth, and lived to see Islam.

And Al-Harith ibn Kilda was a physician for the Arabs.
وفاته: الحارث بن حسان بن كلدة البكري الربعي الذهلي، نزل الكوفة، له صحبة، روعى عنه أبو وائل وسماك ابن حرب.
And among those who passed away: Al-Harith ibn Hassan ibn Kilda al-Bakri al-Raba'i al-Dhahli, who resided in Kufa. He had companionship (with the Prophet), and Abu Wa'il and Simak ibn Harb narrated from him.
وضرار بن فضالة بن كلدة، ثلاثتهم شعراء، هو وأبوه وجده.
And Dirar ibn Fadalah ibn Kilda, all three of them were poets: he, his father, and his grandfather.
والكلندي: الأكمة، كالكلدة.
And 'al-kilandi' means a hill, like 'al-kildah'.
والكلندي: ع بعمان قال سوار بن المضرب: فلا أنسى ليالي بالكلندي فنين وكل هاذا العيش فان
And 'al-Kilandi' is a place in Oman. Suwar ibn al-Mudarrib said: I will not forget the nights in Al-Kilandi, for they passed, and all this life is fleeting.

And 'al-muklandad' means strongly built and great, like 'al-muklandi'.
وعن اللحياني اكلندي الرجل واكلندد، إذا غلظ واشتد كتكلد واكلندى البعير واكلندد، إذا غلظ، كاعلندى.
And from Al-Lihyani: a man 'akladda' and 'akladdada', if he became thick and strong, like 'takallada'. And a camel 'aklandaa' and 'aklandada', if it became thick, like 'a'landaa'.
واكلندد عليه: ألقى عليه بنفسه
And 'akladdada 'alayhi' means to throw oneself upon him.
واكلندد واكلندى: صلب واشتد، وبعير مكلند ومكلندد وعمم به بعضهم فقال: المكلندى: الشديد.
And 'akladdada' and 'aklandaa' mean to become hard and strong. And a camel is 'mukland' and 'muklandad'. Some generalized this and said: 'al-muklandaa' means the strong one.
واكلندد الرجل: تقبض وامتنع
And 'akladdada' the man means he became contracted and refused.
تكلد الرجل: غلظ لحمه وتغزر.
A man 'takallada': his flesh became thick and abundant.
والإكليد، بالكسر: المفتاح أو الخزانة، كالإقليد، وقد تقدم.
And 'al-iklīd', with a kasra, means the key or the lock/chest, like 'al-iqleed', and it has been mentioned before.
وكلواد، بالتفح، ومنهم من ضبطه بإعجام الذال، قال المسعودي: دار مملكة الفرس بالعراق، قال الرشاطي: ويقال: كلودا، منها أبو محمد حيوس بن رزق الله بن بيان، ولد بمصر، ثقة، عن عبد الله بن صالح كاتب اليث وغيره.
And 'Kilwad', with a fa', and some pronounced it with a dhal. Al-Mas'udi said: the seat of the Persian kingdom in Iraq. Al-Rasshati said: and it is said 'Kiluda'. From there is Abu Muhammad Hayyus ibn Rizq Allah ibn Bayan, born in Egypt, trustworthy, narrated from Abdullah ibn Salih, the scribe of Al-Layth, and others.
وزياد بن أبي سفيان الكلدي، محركة، نسبة إلى مولى أمه سمية، وكانت جارية طبيبه العرب المذكور، وكذلك أبو بكرة نفيع بن الحارث أخو زياد لأمه سميصة، ويقال له الكلدي أيضا لذالك.
And Ziyad ibn Abi Sufyan al-Kilidi, with harakat, is attributed to the freed slave of his mother, Sumayyah, who was the slave girl of the aforementioned Arab physician. Likewise, Abu Bakra Nafi' ibn Al-Harith, Ziyad's uterine brother through Sumaysah, is also called 'al-Kilidi' for that reason.
والكلدانيون، بالضم: طائفة من عبدة الكواكب.
And 'al-Kaldaniyyun', with damma, are a sect of star worshippers.
