وهذا لا يكون إلا من سعده الله، وأسعده، أي أعانه ووفقه، لا من أسعده الله.

And this can only be from Allah making him fortunate, and assisting him, meaning He helped him and guided him, not from Allah making him fortunate.

والسعود: سعود النجوم

And al-Su'ud: are the auspicious stars.

وهي عشرة أنجم، كل واحد منها سعد

And they are ten stars, each one of them is a Sa'd.

Succeed, Sa'd, for Sa'eed has been killed.

برك البعير على السعدانة

The camel knelt on its sa'danah.

وهي كركرة البعير

And it is the camel's chest.

إذا سعدانة السعفات ناحت عزاهلها سمعت لها حنينا

When the sa'danah of the palm fronds cooed, its companions heard its lament.

عقد سعدانة النعل، وهي: عقدة الشسع السفلى

The sa'danah of the sandal, which is: the lower knot of the strap.

والساعد: ملتقى الزندين من لدن المرفق إلى الرسغ.

And the sa'id: is the meeting point of the two bones of the forearm from the elbow to the wrist.
