وسألته مسألة فـ تزند، إذا ضاق بالجواب
And I asked him a question, and he 'tazannada', meaning he was constrained by the answer.

And the man 'tazannada': he became angry and agitated.
إذا أنت فاكهت الرجال فلا تلع وقل مثل ما قالوا ولا تتزند
If you converse with men, do not be foolish, say what they say, and do not become agitated.
وأصل التزنيد أن تخل أشاعر الناقة بأخلة صغار، ثم تشد بشعر، وذالك إذا اندحقت
And the origin of 'taznid' is to loosen the hair of the she-camel with small tufts, then tie it with hair, and that is when her womb prolapses.
ما يزندك أحد عليه، أي على فضل زيد، وما يزندك بالتشديد أي ما يزيدك
No one can 'yazniduk' him (meaning surpass him) in the virtue of Zayd, and 'yazniduk' with tashdid means 'yaziduk' (increases you).
