كذا في (شرح الشفاء) للشهاب، وفي حواشي شيخ الإسلام زكريا على (جمع الجوامع) : أنه بإسكان الزاي وفتح الميم وكسرها: لقب (والد الإمام أبي بكر) ، وقيل أبي عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الله (المالكي الأصولي) تلميذ الأبهري، توفي في حدود الأربعمائة، وهو من أهل البصرة.
