إذا جعلت الفعل للصوت قلت: فاخ يفوخ، وفاخت الريح تفوح فوحا، إذا كان مع هبوبها صوت.
If you attribute the verb to sound, you say: 'fākha' yafūkhu, and 'fākhat al-rīḥu' tafūkhu fawḥan, if its blowing has a sound.
وأما الفوح بالحاء فمن الريح نجدها، لا من الصوت.
As for 'al-fawḥu' with ḥā', it is from the wind we find it, not from sound.
فاخ الرجل يفوخ فوخا وفوخانا: خرجت منه ريح.
'Fākha' al-rajulu yafūkhi fawḥan wa fawakhānan: gas exited from him.
