And 'al-iṭbākh' is specific to one who cooks for himself, and 'al-ṭabkh' is general for himself and for others.

And 'al-ṭabbākhah', (like 'kunāsah'): the foam, which is what foams from the pot's scum when cooked in it.

And the extract of everything is its juice taken from it after cooking, like the extract of madder and the like.
وفي التهذيب: الطباخة: ما تأخذ ما تحتاج إليه مما يطبخ، نحو البقم تأخذ طباخته للصبغ وتترك سائره
And in Al-Tahdhib: 'Al-ṭabbākhah' is what you take that you need from what is cooked, like madder, you take its extract for dye and leave the rest.
ويقال: هو يشرب الطبيخ اسم لضرب من الأشربة
And it is said: He drinks 'al-ṭabīkh', a name for a type of drink.
وفي الحديث: (إذا أراد الله بعبد سوءا جعل ماله في الطبيخين)، قيل: هما الجص والآجر
And in the hadith: (When God intends evil for a servant, He makes his wealth in the two 'al-ṭabīkhayn'), it was said: They are gypsum and brick.
والله لولا أن تخشى الطبخ بي الجحيم حيث لا مستصرخ
By God, if you did not fear being cooked by hellfire where there is no one to cry for help.
وهو (كقبر: ملائكة العذاب)، يعني الكفار، الواحد طابخ
And it is (like 'qabr': angels of torment), meaning the disbelievers, the singular is 'ṭābikh'.

And 'al-ṭabbākh', (like 'saḥāb'): firmness, strength, and plumpness.
يقال: رجل في كلامه طباخ، إذا كان محكماً
It is said: A man whose speech has 'ṭabbākh', if it is firm.
ورجل ليس به طباخ، أي ليس به قوة لا سمن
And a man who has no 'ṭabbākh', meaning he has no strength, no plumpness.
المال يغشى رجالاً لا طباخ بهم كالسيل يغشى أصول الدندن البالي
Wealth covers men who have no strength in them, like a flood covers the bases of the worn-out acacia trees.
وفي حديث ابن المسيب: (ووقعت الثالثة فا ترتفع وفي الناس طباخ)
And in the hadith of Ibn Al-Musayyab: (And the third fell, so it did not rise, and there was 'ṭabbākh' among the people).
وما في كلامه طباخ: فائدة، وأصله اللحم الأعجف الذي ما فيه جدوى لطابخه
And 'what is in his speech has no 'ṭabbākh'': benefit, and its origin is lean meat that has no use for its cook.
وتطبخ الرجل: أكل الطبيخ (كسكين)، وهو البطيخ بلغة أهل الحجاز
And 'taṭabakha' the man: he ate 'al-ṭabīkh' (like 'skin'), which is watermelon in the dialect of the people of Hijaz.
ومن المجاز: الطابخ: الحمى الصالب، وقد طبخه الجدري والحصبة
And from metaphor: 'Al-ṭābikh': the burning fever, and smallpox and measles have cooked it.
ومن المجاز: الطابخة: الهاجرة وقد طبختهم الهواجر
And from metaphor: 'Al-ṭākhikhah': the midday heat, and the midday heats have cooked them.
وخرجوا في طبيخة الحر وطبائخه، وهي سمائمه وقت الهجير
And they went out in the midday heat and its intense heats, which are its scorching times during the noon.
ومستأنس بالقفر باتت تلفه طبائخ حر وقعهن سفوع
And one who finds solace in the desert spent the night being enveloped by the scorching heats whose impact is burning.
وطابخة: لقب عامر بن الياس بن مضر، وهو والد أد، وكأنه إنما أثبت الهاء في الطابخة للمبالغة، لقبه بذلك أبوه حين طبخ الضب، وذلك أن أباه بعثه في بغاء شيء فوجد أرنباً فطبخها وتشاغل بها عنه
And Ṭābikha: a nickname for 'Amir ibn Ilyas ibn Muḍar, who is the father of Ad. It is as if the 'hā'' was added to 'Ṭābikha' for exaggeration. His father nicknamed him this when he cooked a lizard, because his father sent him to search for something and he found a rabbit, cooked it, and became preoccupied with it instead.
وطبائخ الحر: سمائمه، جمع طبيخة، وهو مجاز كما تقدم
And the intense heats of the day: its scorching times, the plural of 'ṭabīkhah', which is a metaphor as previously mentioned.
وامرأة طباخية ككراهية وغرابية: شابة ممتلئة مكتنزة اللحم
And a 'ṭabbākhīyah' woman, like 'karāhīyah' and 'gharābīyah': a young woman, full-figured, with plump flesh.
عبهرة الخلق طباخية تزينه بالخلق الطاهر ويروى لباخية
The essence of creation, a 'ṭabbākhīyah' (woman), adorns her with pure character, and it is narrated as 'labbākhīyah'.
أو امرأة طباخية: عاقلة مليحة
Or a 'ṭabbākhīyah' woman: sensible and beautiful.
والمطبخ، كمحدث: أول ولد الضب أملأ ما يكون، قاله ابن سيده وقيل: هو الذي كاد يلحق بأبيه
And 'al-maṭbakh', like 'muḥaddath': the first offspring of the desert lizard, when it is at its fullest, said Ibn Sīdah. And it was said: It is the one that has almost caught up to its father.
وأوله: حسل، ثم غيداق، ثم مطبخ، ثم خضرم، ثم ضب
And its stages are: ḥasl, then ghaydāq, then maṭbakh, then khaḍram, then ḍabb.
وقد طبخ الحسل تطبيخاً: كبر
And the young lizard ('ḥasl') has undergone 'taṭbīkh', meaning it has grown.

And the plump young man.
يقال للصبي إذا ولد: رضعي وطفل، ثم فطيم، ثم دارج، ثم جفر، ثم يافع، ثم شدخ، ثم مطبخ، ثم كوكب
It is said of a child when born: nursing and infant, then weaned, then crawling, then young, then adolescent, then strong, then 'maṭbakh', then 'kawkab'.
وقد طبخ تطبيخاً: ترعرع وعقل وكبر
And it has undergone 'taṭbīkh', meaning it has grown up, become sensible, and matured.
والأطبخ: المستحكم الحمق، كالطبخة، بفتح فسكون، بين الطبخ
And 'al-aṭbak͟h': extreme foolishness, like 'al-ṭabkhah', with a fatḥa then a sukūn, between 'al-ṭabkh'.
ورجل طبخة أحمق، والمعروف طيخة وسيأتي
And a man is a foolish 'ṭabkhah', and the known word is 'ṭaykhah', which will be mentioned later.
وكان في الحي رجل له زوجة وأم ضعيفة، فشكت زوجته إليه أمه، فقام الأطبخ إلى أمه فألقاها في الوادي
And there was in the tribe a man who had a wife and a weak mother. His wife complained to him about his mother, so the extremely foolish one went to his mother and threw her in the valley.
واطبخ اطباخاً، من باب افتعل: اتخذ طبيخاً، وهو كالقدير
And 'iṭbak͟h' 'iṭbāk͟han', from the pattern 'ifta‘ala': he prepared cooked food, and it is like 'al-qadīr'.
وقيل: القدير: ما كان بفح وتوابل، والطبيخ ما لم يفح
And it was said: 'Al-qadīr' is what has spices and seasonings, and 'al-ṭabīkh' is what does not.
وهذا مطبخ القوم ومشتواهم، وقد يكون الطبخ في القرص والحنطة
And this is the people's cooking place and their roasting place, and cooking can be done with flatbread and wheat.
والمطابخ: ع بمكة
And 'al-maṭābikh': a place in Mecca.
والطبخ بالكسر: اللحم المطبوخ
And 'al-ṭabkh' with a kasra: the cooked meat.
