It is said: 'Aṣabnā malḥatan min ar-rabīʿ,' meaning, 'We obtained a small portion of the spring.'

والملح: البركة، يقال؛ لا يبارك الله فيه ولا يملح
And 'al-milḥ' is blessing. It is said: 'May God not bless him nor make him prosperous.'
ملح الله فيه فهو مملوح فيه، أي مبارك له في عيشه وماله.
'Mallaḥa Allāhu fīhi fa-huwa mamlūḥun fīhi,' meaning, 'God has blessed him in it, so he is blessed in his life and his wealth.'

And in the hadith: 'Do not forbid the suckling and the two sucklings.'
