الشرح: البيان والفهم والفتح والحفظ.

غطت مشرحها، (المشرح: الحر)، قال: قرحت عجيزتها ومشرحها من نصها دأبا على البهر
Her heat covered her, (al-mashraḥ: the heat), he said: Her buttocks and her heat were sore from her exertion due to panting.
الشارح: الحافظ، وهو في كلام أهل اليمن حافظ الزرع من الطيور وغيرها.
The shāriḥ: the preserver, and in the speech of the people of Yemen, it means the protector of the crop from birds and others.
وشراحيل: اسم كأنه مضاف إلى إيل، (ويقال: شراحين) أيضا بإبدال اللام نونا، عن يعقوب؛ كذا في (الصحاح).
And Shurāḥīl: a name as if it is added to Il, (and it is said: Shurāḥīn) also by substituting the lām with a nūn, from Ya'qūb; this is according to (al-Ṣiḥāḥ).

أراد كانوا ينبسطون إليها، ويشرحون صدورهم، ويرغبون في اقتنائها رغبة واسعة.
He meant they were inclined towards it, and their chests were expanded, and they desired to acquire it with great desire.
وأبو شريح الخزاعي الكعبي، واسمه خويلد بن عمر و، وقيل: عمرو بن خويلد، حامل لواء قومه يوم الفتح.
