If the she-camel gives birth to her young, it is a salīl; if it becomes strong and walks, it is a rāshiḥ and its mother is murashshaḥah; if the rāshiḥ grows older, it is a khāl.
وهو أن تحك أصل ذنبه وتدفعه برأسها وتقدمه، وتقف عليه حتى يلحقها.
It is that she rubs the base of its tail and pushes it with her head and precedes it, and stops for it until it catches up with her.
وتزجيه أحيانا أي تقدمه وتتبعه، وهي راشح ومرشح؛ كل ذالك على النسب.
And she sometimes urges it forward, meaning she precedes it and follows it, and she is rāshiḥ and murashshaḥah; all of that is by relation.

It turns over likenesses as if their backs are on the plateau of the tall grass from the rock.
يعني بحيث رشحت (الأرض) البهمى يعني ربتها.
Meaning where the land nurtured the grass, meaning it raised it.
(و) من المجاز: (هو يرشح للملك) وفي (الصحاح) و (اللسان): للوزارة أي (يربى ويؤهل له).
And from metaphor: (He is being prepared for kingship) and in (Al-Ṣiḥāḥ) and (Al-Lisān): for the viziership, meaning (he is nurtured and qualified for it).
ورشح للأمر: ربي له وأهل.
And he was prepared for the matter: he was nurtured and qualified for it.

And in the account of Khalid bin Al-Walid (that he prepared his son for the succession) meaning he qualified him for it.

And its origin is the gazelle preparing her young to get used to walking, so she prepares it, and a gazelle is rāshiḥ and rashḥa: it walked.
ورشح فلان لكذا وترشح، وكل ذالك مجاز.
And so-and-so was prepared for such-and-such, and tarashshaḥa, and all of that is metaphorical.
وبئر رشوح: قليلة الماء.
And a rashūḥ well: little in water.
ورشح النحي بما فيه، كذالك.
