ذبح: بمعنى (فتق). ومسك ذبيح.

ويقال: ذبحت فأرة المسك، إذا فتقتها وأخرجت ما فيها من المسك.
And it is said: the musk pod was split open, if you split it and extracted the musk from within it.
ذبح، إذا (نحر). قال شيخنا: قضيته أن الذبح والنحر مترادفان والصواب أن الذبح في الحلق، والنحر في اللبة؛
Dhabaha, if (nahara). Our Sheikh said: his conclusion is that dhabaha and nahara are synonyms, and the correct view is that dhabaha is in the throat, and nahara is in the brisket.
يقال: ذبحته العبرة: إذا خنقته وأخذت بحلقه.
It is said: emotion strangled him (dhabahatuhu al-'abrah): if it choked him and took hold of his throat.
ربما قالوا: ذبح (الدن، إذا بزله) أي شقه وثقبه، وهو أيضا من المجاز.
Sometimes they say: dhabaha (the wineskin), if it was pierced (bazalahu), meaning split and punctured, and this is also metaphorical.
ويقال أيضا: ذبح (اللحية فلانا: سالت تحت ذقنه فبدا) ، بغير همز، أي ظهر (مقدم حنكه، فهو مذبوح، بها)
And it is also said: dhabaha (the beard of so-and-so): it flowed beneath his chin and appeared, without hamza, meaning the front of his jaw appeared, so he is madhubuh (with it).

And al-dhabh, with kasra: is the name for (what is slaughtered) from sacrificial animals and other animals.
والذبح (كصرد وعنب: ضرب من الكمأة) بيض.
And al-dhibah (like 'sard' and 'unab': a type of truffle), white.
والذبح: (نبت آخر) ، هاكذا في سائر النسخ، والصواب: والذبح نبت أحمر له أصل، يقشر عنه قشر أسود فيخرج أبيض كأنه خرزة بيضاء، حلو، طيب، يؤكل، واحدته ذبحة وذبحة.
And al-dhibah: (another plant), as it is in all manuscripts, and the correct reading is: and al-dhibah is a red plant with a root, its black peel is removed to reveal a white interior like a white bead, sweet, pleasant, edible, its singular is dhibhah and dhibhah.

And al-dhabih: the slaughtered.
والذبيح: لقب سيدنا (إسماعيل) بن إبراهيم الخليل (عليه) وعلى والده الصلاة و (السلام)
And al-dhabih: is the title of our master (Ismail) son of Ibrahim the Friend (peace be upon him) and upon his father.
