The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from wearing deeply dyed garments, from spreading the saddle-cloth of my mount that is next to its back, and from placing the saddle-cloth of my mount on its back until I mention the name of Allah, for on every peak there is a devil, and when you mention the name of Allah, it departs.
وهو (من الثياب ما صبغ صبغا مشبعا)
And it (refers to garments) is that which is dyed with a saturated dye.
والمترح من العيش: الشديد.
And 'al-mutarrah' from life means severe.
والمترح من السيل: القليل وفيه انقطاع
And 'al-mutarrah' from a flood means little and intermittent.
والمترح كمحسن، وفي نسخة: كمكرهم (: من لا يزال يسمع ويرى مالا يعجبه).
And 'al-mutarrih' (like muhsin) or (like mukrih) means one who continually hears and sees what displeases him.
ناقة متراح: يسرع انقطاع لبنها، والجمع المتاريح.
