And Ibn Al-Sikkit said: 'Al-amshaj': the mixtures, meaning the semen, because it is mixed from types, and therefore humans are born with different temperaments.
وقال أبو إسحاق: أمشاج: أخلاط من مني ودم، ثم ينقل من حال إلى حال.
And Abu Ishaq said: 'Amshaj': mixtures of semen and blood, then it is transferred from one state to another.
ويقال: نطفة أمشاج، أي (مختلطة بماء المرأة ودمها)
And it is said: 'nutfa amshaj', meaning (mixed with the woman's fluid and her blood).
ثم يكون مشيجا أربعين ليلة
Then it becomes a mixed entity for forty nights.
والأمشاج: التي تجتمع في السرة
