وإذا قيل: إنها أعجمية، كما صرح به الجوالقي وغيره، فلا دليل على الأصالة التي ليست في اللفظ كما لا يخفى، محل تأمل، فإن الجواليقي إنما صرح كغيره بتعريب الفيج الذي هو بمعنى الساعي لا أن المادة كلها معربة، كما هو ظاهر.
And if it is said: that it is non-Arabic, as stated by Al-Jawaliqi and others, then there is no evidence for the originality that is not in the word, as is clear, a matter for contemplation. For Al-Jawaliqi, like others, only stated the Arabization of Al-Faij which means the one who strives, not that the entire root is Arabized, as is apparent.
